Japanese electronics company Casio has announced the launch of an upgraded G-Shock 2100 model called the GA-B2100. The new watch mostly maintains the look and design of the original 2100 model but introduces Bluetooth connectivity and solar power. Thanks to the addition of the latter, the watch also belongs to the brand's Carbon Core collection.
While the look of the GA-B2100 is comparable to the original model, it does deliver a more retro-inspired style overall. This is reflected in the vibrant color options, which include eye-popping versions of the primary colors -- blue, green, and red.
The watch's new Tough Solar system allows it to charge when exposed to sunlight. However, even if it receives zero sun exposure the watch's battery is built to last for approximately seven months before needing a change.
