GROWUP is a contemporary hydroponic gardening system designed to get urbanites to grow their own vegetables. GROWUP has a sleek and modern look and is relatively mess-free. The system was designed by a German design team and is an entry into the James Dyson Awards.
GROWUP is designed to be modular, letting you link multiple units together. The system is also designed to be extendable, with the demo videoing showing attachments ranging from a smartphone dock to solar panels. While charging your phone and growing vegetables at the same time would be awesome, that concept may be a little too ahead of its time. Still, I do think it is high time that those living in apartments had an effective and easy way to grow vegetables.
