The Grid System is a desk that functions as interestingly as it looks. Aptly named, the design is essentially a three dimensional version of the a two dimensional grid system. Full of blocks and layers, the desk is made up of modular parts that can be reconfigured into any number of ways to suit the needs and wants of the owner.
Designed by Yin Chang, a London-based product designer and Royal College of Art graduate, the Grid System was inspired by the work of legendary designers Josef Müller-Brockmann and Wim Crouwel. It is made up of a base metal frame, mesh boxes, and a series of multi-purpose accessories. The mesh boxes are available in three different sizes and are attached to the frame with aluminum rods.
