Since airports tend to be the loudest places in any city, designer Hung-Uei Jou came up with a concept that can turn those sounds into eco-friendly energy. The Green Noise is a little gadget that sits on the airport runway and converts the booming aircraft sounds into usable energy.
Green Noise takes the sound energy and converts it into electricity. It then uses the electricity to power the runway lights, reducing the overall use of energy at the airport.
