Motorized Coffee Couch Pranks

The Grand Tour Cafe is Promoting an Original Amazon Series

In an effort to promote its original motoring series 'The Grand Tour,' Amazon took over a coffee shop in New York, surprising unsuspecting patrons with motorized chairs in a stunt called 'The Grand Tour Cafe.'

For this particular stunt, the ad agency replaced the shop's regular chairs with motorized iterations. Half of the individuals in the cafe were aware of the stunt, and begun racing around on the remote controlled loungers, startling the unsuspecting guests. Eventually, everyone was invited to participate, and a bumper car-like scene ensued.

The prank was devised by the same New York agency that created 2013's "Telekinetic Coffee Shop Surprise," in which a girl with super powers shocked the cafe's patrons in an effort to promote the film, Carrie.
