Harlequin Goth Fashion

Vogue Italia's Black Widow Couture

This October editorial in Vogue Italia, shot by Greg Lotus, has sort of a "black widow" look to it according to blogger Wicked Halo.

The models are dressed in see-through black lace, chiffon, long evening gloves and parts of their faces are adorned with very elaborate and artistic paint.

The photos have a sort of retro-modern, avant-garde and Gothic feel to them. I find them alluring, edgy and very attractive.

Implications - All of the photos are shot in black and white, which adds to the mysterious effect. The editorial is shot with different black-colored props such as a ball, a wild-cat statue, balloons and a bowl of grapes. Each image seems to represent part of an intriguing and seductive story.
