Leveraging the sun to prepare meals is nothing entirely new but the GoSun Fusion manages to innovate this idea by combining solar power with more traditional cooking power. GoSun has produced solar-powered ovens in the past and this new offering features the same cylindrical cooking chamber design seen in previous models. This design derives its heat from two parabolic reflectors, which capture heat from the sun and transfer it into the cooking chamber.
However, the GoSun Fusion also introduces a 150-watt electric heater, which can be charged using a car's cigarette port, a lithium-ion power bank or an attachable solar panel. This feature of the GoSun Fusion is not meant to entirely negate the device's solar power capability but is meant to provide an alternative to solar power when not near direct sunlight.
