Lladró, the Spanish design brand known for its exquisite porcelain sculptures, released a golden Star Wars statue on May 4th, 2023. The limited-edition piece is a collectible product and besides marking Star Wars Day (May the 4th Be With You), the sculpture also pays homage to Lladró as a brand, celebrating its 70th anniversary.
A total of 70 pieces were made of the Darth Vader sculpture, which measures 50 cm in height. Handmade by master porcelain artisans and finished in matte gold porcelain, the piece is available for $5,800.
In addition to the golden Star Wars statue, Lladró also released a unique and informative coffee table book that celebrates the brand's most iconic and playful creations to date. The publication is titled The Porcelain Revolution and includes collaborations with designers like Marcel Wanders, Paul Smith, and Jaime Hayon.
