Tokyo's Go Today Shaire Salon is a unique new space designed for coworking and freelance beauticians working in the rise of the sharing economy. Much like coworking spaces offered by WeWork, Go Today Shaire Salon caters to stylists who are just starting their careers and offers them a place to rent booths and shampoo stations. This system and space allows these stylists to work independently without having to rent a chair at another establishment and working around the other salon's schedule.
The space itself was completed by Japanese design firm Canoma, and consists of 12 semi-private stations. The walls of the salon are wood, clear glass, and opaque glass, ensuring clients privacy while maintaining an open nature to Go Today Shaire Salon.
