Amazon recently announced that it will open new Go Grocery locations in Redmond, Washington, as well as Washington, D.C. The first cashier-less Amazon Go Grocery store was launched in the capitol hill neighborhood in Seattle, and it was approximately triple the size of other stores. The cashier-less the system is able to track customers as they enter the location, and it can monitor their purchases. The new locations will not use a cashier-less system, and will instead rely on a more conventional checkout system.
It has been reported that new Amazon Go Grocery stores will be located in Woodland Hills, and Irvine California, as well as two Chicago suburbs including Naperville and Schaumburg. However, the new locations were not officially confirmed by Amazon.
