While it only has a range of 16 miles before it needs a recharge, the battery powered board can hit its top speed of 28 mph in only 1.9 seconds -- which is a faster acceleration speed than most cars have.
The designer, Joshua Tulberg, advises riders to go easy on the trigger for their first couple of rides as the board is deceptively powerful and liable to promote riders taking more than a few spills.
Ringing in at around the $5000 mark means that the board is definitely only made for the serious rider who is looking to carve up the pavement at speeds that will leave other skaters in the dust.
