Self-Powered Prefab Homes

The Global Sustainable Home by John Farag

Perhaps the pièce de résistance of prefab housing, the Global Sustainable Home could put other green homes to shame. Manufactured in a series of sections and then assembled on site, the Global Sustainable Home by designer John Farag is designed for extreme eco-friendly living.

The Global Sustainable Home generates power from incorporated solar technology and uses dry-composting toilets as well as an air-to-water condenser to create fresh water. According to The Design Blog, by providing itself with power and eliminating the need for sewer and electricity infrastructure, the Global Sustainable Home can be installed anywhere there is adequate sunlight.
