Far from the boxy and bulky fixtures that you usually find along sidewalks, the Glass Sign is minimalist and partially transparent. It doesn't clutter the edge of streets and nor does it feed off of the overdrawn electrical grid.
Almasov Aibek's concept is a slim metal pole that's topped with a perfectly circular ring. The two components meet cleanly for a fuss-free silhouette. Inside the hoop is a clear pane that makes the crosswalk signal resemble a large magnifying glass most of the time.
What you don't see is a strip of solar panels that bands around the top of the Glass Sign. In the morning, these cells harness the sunlight so that the window can generate the image of a pedestrian when it's safe to traverse the road.
