Crowd-Funded Knitwear Lines

Giuliana Leila is Using Kickstarter to Launch New Giu Giu Line

‘giu giu’ is a playful and beautiful knitwear line designed by Giuliana Leila.

"I found that knitwear is one thing that is woven through different cultures," says Giuliana, and the vibrancy and life she saw in Europe inspired her Fall/Winter 2013 collection. This was her very first collection, and through dedication to her dream, she was able to fund the collection herself. Her hard work paid off, as her sweaters are going to be sold in stores in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland and Boston.

She is now on the path of expanding her line and designing a Spring/Summer 2014 collection. It's going to be double the size of her previous one, and so she's created a KickStarter in hopes of raising $25,000 to fund materials, samples, lookbooks, and production.

For Giuliana, sweaters are simple yet nostalgic, which is what inspired her to create an amazing line of knit sweaters.
