Forget about chupacabra and bigfoot, we can now gaze at giant jellyfish photos. Posted yesterday, this giant jellyfish has 100 foot long tentacles. This monstrosity, the echizen kurage, was discovered off the coast of Florida. Even better, it's being ridden by a crab.
Colloquially, the beast is referred to as Nomura's Jellyfish. Nomura's Jellyfish have the ability to be up to 2 meters (6 feet 7 inches) and weigh up to 220 kilograms (ca. 450 pounds).
Fortunately, the venom is not very poisonous, but I still wouldn't want to be the crab that's swimming on this beast.
