Add flair to your home and treat yourself to this stunning series of geometric marble tables by Dutch studio Scholten & Baijings.
The 'Solid Patterns' series was designed for Italian marble producer Luce di Carrara and was recently unveiled at Milan Design Week 2014. The geometric marble tables are engraved with certain patterns that actually clash with the surface of the stone to create some contrast against the smooth marble from Tuscany. The new collection is made up of five pieces, which include a dining or conference table, two low coffee tables and two mid-sized tables.
"The collection is inspired by the uniqueness of marble quarried from the depths of the Apuan Alps," say the designers. "Designing was all about expressing the various characteristics of the marble in a single form, merging mass, color, unique line patterns and circular shapes."
