Geo by Mika Barr is Inspired by Flat Patterns and Paper Folding

Geo by Mika Barr is a set pillows featuring three dimensional fabric that folds and fractures to create a popping pattern that is much more interesting than typical static graphic prints. These pillows blend traditional cushion patterns with the ancient art of Origami, resulting in designs that are full of movement.

Created for Tel Aviv-based studio Talents Design, which was founded to foster emerging creativity, Geo by Mika Barr is reminiscent of hard, angular materials. Nevertheless, the pillows are super-comfy. The designer explains the process: "The light, elastic textiles are dyed and then screen printed with an inflexible material that indicates the nature of the fabric's movement and creates a new, three-dimensional textile structure." The contemporary look is great for modern homes.
