The Gentle Chair appears to be made up of two separate frames that have been interconnected to create one super seat. In reality, it is a two-toned design that is as easy on the eyes as it is on the tush. A stunningly simple creation, the Gentle Chair was created by Swedish design group Front, which consists of Sofia Lagerkvist, Charlotte Von der Lancken and Anna Lindgren, for the Italian furniture company Porro.
Currently debuting at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile 2012 (more commonly known as Milan Design Week), the Gentle Chair is subtly sculptural. The sweeping lines are clean and captivating. The natural wood finish complements the black lacquered portion beautifully. The Gentle Chair's basic colorway allows it to fit into any living space, especially minimalist and modern ones.
