The Garden of the Four Seasons is an ambitious new covered garden concept by architecture and design firm Carlo Ratti Associati. Slated to be built in the northwestern sector of Milan, the project would allow Milanese and tourists to experience all four seasons no matter the current time of year thanks to innovative climate-control technology.
The covered garden pavilion will align each of the four seasons along a narrow corridor with a path encircling them. Each season's pavilion will progress in succession, from spring to summer to fall to winter. The Garden of the Four Seasons will make use of an ingenious heat transfer system that keeps all four sectors at the desired temperature with zero net energy.
Carlo Ratti Associati's awe-inspiring vision was commissioned by Citylife, a property development firm.
