On April 12th, 1961, Russian Yuri Gagarin became the first man to go into space. Watchmaker Bernhard Lederer has built a special watch dubbed the Gagarin Tourbillon to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin's historict space flight.
The Gagarin Tourbillon has a slew of luxurious and unique features that are sure to make it a collector's item. The watch is made out of platinum and comes in a case mad from Platinum 950. A rotating magnifying glass has also been installed just in case you want to take a closer look at the time. The coolest feature of this watch without a doubt is its flying tourbillon that makes one counterclockwise rotation around the dial counter in 108 minutes which mimics Gagarin's historic trip around the Earth in the Vostok 1.
You can see the Gagarin Tourbillon up close in the video featured. Good luck if you're hoping to get your hands on one of these as only 50 Gagarin Tourbillons are set to be made.
