The lifestyle brand Barker and Stonehouse are challenging a child's imagination in the depiction of futuristic gardens. The initiative is informed by survey results that included a population sample of 1,000 UK parents with children under the age of 16. The questionnaire found out that one in 10 children under the age of three have their own tablet and 99% of parents report that their children spend more time on VR games than playing outside.
'The English Gardens of the Future' aim to raise awareness of technology use, while entertaining its guests with playful concepts that are visualized by the children themselves.
The futuristic garden project is supported by MSc Cyber-Psychology Clinical Researcher, Catherine Knibbs, who reveals her theory that a combination of technology and outdoor activities has the potential to increase the time spent outside.
