Wood Dripping Furniture

Matthew Robinson's Fusion Tables Look like They are Playfully Melting

The Fusion Tables look like they were placed in a room so hot that even the wood is melting, which is quite impossible. A surreal design, they are playful, youthful and eye-catching. The name of this piece of furniture is inspired by the use of two different woods. The one that is melting appears to have been splattered by accident on the corner of the actual table, dripping down to replace the original leg support.

Created by Matthew Robinson, a furniture design student at the Leeds College of Art in the United Kingdom, the solid wood Fusion Tables are made out of American Walnut and Maple. He writes on his website, "In terms of design, my furniture is intended to start conversations, to be a style statement within an interior."
