Could excessively hairy arms be the hottest new fashion accessory? If you viewed the Giles runway show during London Fashion Week, it sure looks like we could be going furry for fall 2009.
The woolly arm warmers came in all animal pelt colours: bear black, gorilla brown and llama cream. Some were detailed with leather banding, others with what looked like grizzly teeth. You really have to love the set paired with the futuristic silver puffy jacket, no?
I don’t know if this trend will go mainstream or not, but stranger things have happened in the world of fashion. I do remember years ago boots that looked oddly similar to these Yeti-like arm warmers.
