The Frost Chair by FurnID is Inspired by Windswept Snowdrifts

Honestly, there doesn't seem to be anything remotely frosty about the Frost Chair. Instead, it's curving (almost slouching) back and outstretched arms looks timidly welcoming for a rest well-deserved.

Designed by Copenhagen-based design studio FurnID for the manufacturer Stouby, the Frost Chair was actually named so for the inspiration found when the wind plays with new fallen snow. Taking on an organic, snowdrift shape, the Frost Chair doesn't evoke any shivers, but instead an appreciation for nature's beauty.

A minimalist design, the Frost Chair was specifically designed by Bo Strange of FurnID. Without compromising function for form (or vice versa), much attention to detail was paid. With a rather futuristic feel that dates back to 40s and 50s designs, the Frost Chair is definitely a statement piece for the home.
