"Fried Paint" is the title of American artist, Michael Williams' third solo exhibition, which is hosted by the highly esteemed gallery Christina Wilson, located in Copenhagen, Denmark.
I think these oil paintings are fantastic and weird at the same time. You cannot help but imagine the artist painting these scenarios while eating magic mushrooms and tripping out to Pink Floyd. How else would you come up with the subject of a lobster surfing the internet with his buddy the Clam?
Incidentally, the painting with a middle-aged snorkeler reminds me of a famous children’s cartoon movie from the 70s called "Bennys Badekar", which was highly influenced by psychedelia. Poor kids!
