Baguette Vending Machines

This Machine Serves Up Fresh Baguettes On-Demand

A man by the name of Benoit Herve recently developed a vending machine that doles out fresh baguettes on-demand. For those who don't live near a bakery, the machine provides a convenient way to enjoy freshly baked bread at a moment's notice.

Herve's machine is a mico-bakery called 'Le Bread Xpress,' which is designed to serve up warm, freshly baked bread 24 hours a day. Herve came up with the idea for the machine after failing to find authentic French baguettes anywhere in San Francisco. In order for the machine to operate, Harve must load it with partially cooked loaves each morning. Customers then place their order, make a digital payment and their bread will be baked instantly.

While there is only one Le Bread Xpress machine currently in operation, the micro-bakery demonstrates the endless opportunities for vending machine innovation.
