This incredibly elegant and contemporary French restaurant interior is conceived by American design practice AI3. The establishment is located in Atlanta. The project involved outfitting two separate spaces — the AIX restaurant and the Tin Tin wine bar, for the client — chef Nick Leahy.
The aesthetic of the restaurant and the bar were meant to be distinct from one another but, nonetheless, unified through their contemporary sensibilities. AI3 attempted to go the sentimental route in creating the French restaurant interior and its bar counterpart by referencing Nick Leahy's "childhood in Provence" with subtle elements — from beaded installations that nod to the French game pétanque to the geometrically enhanced flooring tiles that have a blue Provencal pattern.
