De Villiers Chocolate's New Range is Sugar-Free and Dairy-Free

During lockdown, Artisan African chocolate brand De Villiers Chocolate create a brand-new range of sugar-free and dairy-free chocolate that's sustainably sourced. The chocolates are available in classic flavors like dark chocolate and even nut butter varieties like almond, cashew, and hazelnut.

The plant-based chocolate is Rainforest Alliance and KETO certified, plus it's registered with the Vegan Society. The plant-based chocolate is not just appealing to vegans but also those who are following the ketogenic diet or are looking for healthier alternatives. As the chocolates avoid both dairy ingredients and sugar, the products also help to prevent blood sugar or insulin spikes and gastrointestinal side effects.

Pieter de Villiers, CEO and Master Chocolate Maker at De Villiers Chocolate, says: "While there are many no-added-sugar chocolates on the market catering to health-conscious consumers, diabetics and those following the ketogenic, vegan, and low-carb diets, most of the available options are a cheerless substitute for the real deal—that is, until now."
