At first glance, the Frank Cabinet looks like a typical cupboard that happens to be on the simplistic, traditional side. Upon closer inspection, however, it becomes abundantly clear that is not the case. In fact, it becomes crystal clear. As crystal clear as the cabinet itself is.
Designed by Karl-Johan Hjerling and Karin Wallenbeck of Snickeriet, a recently launched Swedish independent carpentry company, the Frank Cabinet is made out of maple and plexiglass. Clean and contemporary, the storage unit is like a revamped version of the classic curio cabinet, the sole purpose of which was to display both cherished and curious objects. The Frank Cabinet also allows people to do that, but in a more modern way. The name of the cabinet refers to the fact that this cupboard hides nothing.
