Using shadows as his medium to make incredible work, photographer Francis Giacobetti has created an animalistic interpretation of light.
Giacobetti called his series Zebras. The series features nude women who are covered up by the shadows being cast on their bodies. As a result of the light work, the women almost appear to be silhouettes. Giacobetti wanted to play with the differences between negative and positive light, and he has done that perfectly. By giving some of the positive light a tinge of color he has enabled that section to standout further than the others. Francis Giacobetti has created an incredible series inspired by animals, and using shadows to his benefit.
