The simply yet lovely flower frame is the ingenious design work of Cedric Ragot. Ragot has a terrific design aesthetic and his designs include such disparate items as snowboards, bicycles, crash helmets, tables, sofas, watches, clocks, and phones. The flower frames, which are constructed with integrated vases, resemble the “Compose-it†versions of Ymer and Malta that also appear in the gallery. They are fabricated from the material more commonly used for kitchen counters, DuPont Corian.
Implications - The desire for products that provide several functions and are easily stored has increased greatly during the credit crunch, as consumers have had to downsize and now seek items that eliminate clutter in small spaces. Businesses can benefit from this by developing products that are practical and combine functions without sacrificing sophisticated style.
