Literal Magazine Representations

'i29' Designs a Retail Space for Frame Publishers in Amsterdam

Designed by the studio i29, the Frame Publishers retail space in Amsterdam is a literal representation of the magazine. The entire building is set to house artworks and events from a number of different creatives, with this shop run by Frame Publishers to be open to the public at the same time.

i29 used quite a few mirrors throughout the interior, which help open up the space and make it appear larger. Moreover, these reflective surfaces draw attention to the items being sold in the store, which range from beauty products to fashion and artwork. It's a novel concept to create a retail space to represent a magazine, so hopefully this will result in an extra revenue stream for Frame Publishers. Photo Credits: designboom, frameweb
