Andries van Overbeeke has released his designs for Formula 1 concept cars and surprisingly, they may be far more realistic than he imagined. Overbeeke has always loved the racing company but has been disappointed by its lack of progress and development in terms of its cars. Formula 1 is meant to be on the cutting edge of technology and innovation yet most of its cars have yet to be changed in years.
Overbeeke drew up some possible Formula 1 concept cars, many of which are extremely feasible. His first change would be to close each of the drivers' cockpits. Not only will this promote safety, it has a far more contemporary look. Overbeeke's designs also strip down the traditional race car, and eliminate many of the erodynamic appendages that cost more money.
