Reebok unveils its inaugural USDA certified entirely plant-based sneaker -- the Forever Floatride GROW sneaker is an environmentally friendly design that embodies sustainability through its construction. The sneaker is constructed from BLOOM algae, castor beans, real rubber trees, and eucalyptus tree. In terms of design, the upper features white mesh upper detailed with earthy hues.
This includes the light brown collars, the beige tonal laces and pull tabs around the heel and tongue. Additional details include the 'Floatride' branding detail sewn at the back quarter panel before sitting on a tapered midsole on top of a tonally contrasted orange outsole. To make this possible, Reebok works with a farm near its Boston headquarter office to exclusive give the first 50 customers the pair of sneakers and a half bushel of fresh vegetables.
