A Chicago-based artist 'VooDoo' (Larry Grobe) has converted a 1950s Philco refrigerator into a vintage Ford-style car named the "VooDoo Retro Rod." The work was a part of ComEd's appliance recycling program, where participants are required to bring their creative renewals of old refrigerators and freezers.
Larry Grobe's VooDoo Retro Rod is being displayed at Chicago’s Magnificent Mile. Starting on September 15th, 2010, the cool creation from Grobe will be exhibited at Chicago Avenue and Illinois Street.
