Champagne brand Moët & Chandon taps Melbourne-based firm Foolscap Studio for the arrangement of a contemporary wine bar in Victoria. The architectural company undertakes an approach that is strongly inspired by wine — from the color palette to the subtle design elements.
The new establishment is essentially a merging of "tasting, dining and retail spaces." Creating a more uniform consumer experience, the interior proves to exude refined excellence and stylish integrity. Foolscap Studio truly embraces the art of winemaking with this design. An interesting feature of the space is the series of copper discs that are suspended from the ceiling via slim metal poles. Despite their inherent contemporary quality, Foolscap Studio installs this aesthetic feature to hint at the "uplifting ritual of spontaneously popping a cork."
