Westerdahl Designs the Folded House Located in Cambridge

London design studio Westerdahl renovates the Folded House in Cambridge, which reorganized an extension and cladding. It is finished with green zinc panels that are fused with the surrounding greenery. The studio aims to connect the home with the large garden outside, which was previously blocked off by a utility space in the extension.

The former extension now has a living, kitchen, and dining space. Founder of the studio, Viktor Westerdahl tells Dezeen, "The core concept was a minimal intervention to increase living and entertaining space and to better connect it to the lovely mature garden outside. This reorganisation created a new, direct view from the entrance hallway out towards the garden through generous double patio doors."
