The 'Royals in Bloom' is a Flower Pot Fit For a Queen

The Queen is accustomed to receiving thousands of flowers every year, but today Her Majesty has been offered a floral tribute like never before: an 11-foot high flower pot in the image of her own head called 'Royals in Bloom.'

The unique gift also comes with a matching terracotta pot styled as The Duke of Edinburgh; each piece weighs in at over half a ton each. Together, they are filled with over 50 different varieties of flowers including geraniums, hydrangeas and freesias and took a team of sculptors and gardeners more than two months to construct.

Royals in Bloom was commissioned by shopping channel QVC to mark the start of its gardening season and will be presented to the Queen in June to mark the Diamond Jubilee and hope to become a permanent fixture in the grounds of Buckingham Palace.
