Loon, part of of Alphabet dedicated to providing internet access through floating balloons, recently partnered with AT&T to help provide internet more quickly to disaster-stricken areas. The company has now integrated the system with AT&T's network to provide mobile service across the globe and is working towards getting its balloons up and running as quickly as possible to affected areas.
Loon also announced the company is set to debut a commercial internet service in Kenya, a region that is currently testing the internet ballon, alongside remote parts of the Peruvian Amazon. Moreover, the company announced a partnership with Telesat, a satellite company, and will use its software to control the low orbit satellites.
