Scientists at Waseda University have created a see-through battery. The device uses "organic radical" technology which is flexible and transparent. "One major feature of this battery is apparently takes only one minute to charge and can last over 1,000 cycles. Still it is on early development stage and the developers did not give any information about how much juice the battery can produce."
Implications - Technology in its early stages of development is a popular consumer choice as the association between status and being "ahead of the game" in up and coming technology continues to grow. As a result of the consumer need to own products of the future, the market for products that will eventually make current products in circulation obsolete is an expanding one and production of these has increased dramatically.
