Flamingo Print Retro

Roberto Cavalli just showed his more affordable line, Just Cavalli, at Milan Fashion Week which was full of retro inspirations and some unexpected hot pink bird motifs.

Staying true to his signature look, the collection was heavy on animals prints, particularly leopard which was seen repeatedly on printed tights and flowing gowns. New to his design style however, was a quirky flamingo-patterned suit which looked oddly like a pajama. The flamingo theme re-appearing later as pink silhouettes on black tights, on black blouses and again on big, glittering statement jewelery.

The show also featured big, floppy snob hats, plaid prints and dramatic bell bottom pants for the women and paisley print blazers for the men.

Accessories included long, dangling necklaces and loose ties hung over '70s style dresses as well as polka dot scarves tied around the handles of boxy handbags. Other cute purses looked like little round baggies, tied at the top like the runaway bundles you see in movies when characters tie scarves to create make shift bags... only these were made of fine material and weren't tied to a stick.

In the video, you'll see one model's breast nearly fall out as the V-neck cut on one floral outfit was perhaps a little too dramatic.
