Delta is incorporating fingerprint scans into the Reagan Washington National Airport, an optional process that is available for members of the airline's loyalty program SkyMiles.
The fingerprint scans will be available for those who sign up and will allow them to use their fingers to board their aircrafts, to enter the Delta Sky Club lounges, and even to check their bags. It is described as having a "higher level of accuracy than paper boarding passes," and will give airline workers more time to assist customers with other tasks, like changing seats.
