A new effort aimed at increasing female involvement in esports within its ecosystem has been revealed by FIFAe, the esports division of the world football governing organization FIFA. The ‘FAMEHERGAME’ initiative was created to provide female FIFA players with professional opportunities in the esports leagues. FIFAe will also hold a boot camp where participants may receive instruction and enter to win a trip to the FIFA Women's World Cup, which will take place in Australia and New Zealand.
"FIFAe is a platform where everyone can take part, compete on the highest level and fame their game on the biggest stage," said Adrian Rölli, head of eFootball at FIFA. "We believe that by increasing opportunities for women, we can help build a more diverse and inclusive esports environment together with the community."
