These gorgeous contemporary washbasins are a treat, and in fact, a trick for the eye. The Ebano collection by designer Marco Pisati, for the Italian Il Bagno Bandini, is in fact sculpted from stone and not wood, as I found cited elsewhere on the web. The stone is called Rainwood stone and as the Bandini site reveals Ebano is, “a washbasin with linear and squared external forms; internally the soft curvature of the hole is designed to enhance the wonderful vein of the stone that recalls for colour and form the essence of wood.â€
The Ebano collection consists of fabulously modern sinks, shower bases and if you can imagine a solid Rainwood stone tub.
