FashionStake is a revolutionary social media marketplace that brings democratic values to shopping. It allows consumers to vote on which upcoming designs they want to see produced.
Vivien Weng created FashionStake after she realized that many fantastic designers weren’t getting their pieces made because of the corporate disconnect between emerging ideas and the every day consumer. On top of that, many of the designs that she felt were sub par were somehow getting through only to end up performing poorly -- a process that usually ended up in those unsuccessful designs wasting fabric that could have been used on items that would actually sell. In order to change this problem with the emerging fashion system, FashionStake puts the power of making decisions in the hands of the people who will ultimately decide whether or not a line of fashion is successful: the consumers themselves.
