Farahway Global Uses Public Engagement and Community-Building

Founded by Farah N. Mawani, who was a co-founder of Free the Hikers, an advocacy organization that pushed for three hikers to be released from Iranian authorities, Farahway Global describes itself as a "Social Media, Public Engagement, Human Rights and Mental Health agency." What exactly does that mean? Well, using community-building practices, social media and public engagement, the organization attempts to raise awareness on human rights, and mental health issues. They also offer consulting services.

Faraway Global is based out of Toronto's Centre for Social Innovation (CSI) and in the latest issue of Collider, in the Pigeon Post section, they spoke briefly on their latest initiative, 'Bullets to Butterflies, an Interactive Art Exhibit."
