Fan by Vincent Claudepierre is the product of a desire to redesign the conventional look of the common ventilator. When what the user requires is a cool stream of stirred up air, why is it that these appliances always look the same?
With this question in mind, Vincent looked for inspiration elsewhere and stumbled upon the bent tubular shapes of great industrial exhaust fans. Through a careful creative process of down-scaling and streamlining, his singular product was developed.
The final model looks like a beautiful glossy ebony piece of rigati pasta with a bold orange interior. It sits on the floor, looking poised to oscillate, but remains steady on a minimalist base. Fan by Vincent Claudepierre pulls stale air through a grate at one end, past a propeller and out through the open other side.
