The Fable mantle clock is a stunning interpretation of traditional time-tellers. Beautifully sculptural, it looks more like a whimsical ornament or jewelry stand than a clock. Taking the form of a domed birdcage, this clock boasts two sets of carved numbers on its base. This base rotates in such a way as to divulge the time in a femininely unique manner. Depending on what time it is, specific numbers are singled out by a static circle.
Created by Gilbert 13, a product design studio based out of the North West United Kingdom, the Fable mantle clock is 3D printed using Shapeways' accessible technology. The designers say they were inspired by "the beautifully crafted antiquities, curiosities and oddities from days gone by [that] have survived the passage of time."
