Finnish designer Anne Hirvonen created the Fab Vase, which is a beautifully crafted vessel made using a fusion of traditional and new elements. It is a progressive glass-blown vase using techniques rooted in Nordic expertise. Hirvonen states, "Through my development of the Fab Vase I want to highlight the ancient Nordic craft of glass making as it’s a skill that has long been endangered."
The Fab Vase has a unique structure and it comes in two tonal options -- one is completely clear and the other is a bold yellow. The yellow option is made possible using three layers of glass with the middle layer being the colored variation. This form shows the organic patterns that are created during the mouthblowing process.
