The Baja 1000 is a monster cross-dessert road race that spans the entire length of Baja California. 1000 grueling miles - taken at top speed. Now introducing a new class of entry: the "One Tank Unlimited Solo." That's right: one driver, one tank of gas to run the 1000 miles. Designed for this class is the Bio Runner, courtesy of Volkswagen/Audi.

To make this even cooler, the Support Team Chopper follows along and in the event of a crash, swoops down to perform repairs. It also contains telemetry analysis software, which in the case of emergency, takes over piloting to avoid danger unseen by the driver.
